Ocean waves representing the biological systems Biolume tracks over time.

What we test.

We test what changes early, matters over time, and can be acted on meaningfully.

Many chronic conditions do not appear suddenly. They develop gradually, through small biological shifts that often go unnoticed for years. Blood biomarkers allow us to see those shifts early, before symptoms escalate or treatment becomes reactive.

Biolume Health provides access to hundreds of key biomarkers across all major body systems.

We test the biomarkers that matter most to your long-term health, not just the ones your doctor might check when something is already wrong. From hormones and metabolic function to inflammation, cardiovascular risk, nutrient status, liver detoxification and cellular resilience, we map the systems that quietly drive how you feel today, and how you will age tomorrow.

We do not test to provoke intervention. We test to build understanding.

Every marker is chosen for its ability to reveal early imbalances, track how your body is adapting, and guide personalised, evidence-backed strategies to improve your energy, mood, focus and future health span. It is not about chasing perfection or smashing supplements. It is about having the clarity to know where you stand, what your body needs, and how to act on it.

This is not about medicalising everyday life. It is about understanding how your body is functioning and where it may benefit from support.

Systems, not isolated numbers

Context is everything.

A normal cholesterol can sit alongside a high ApoB. A normal glucose can accompany a fasting insulin that has been climbing for years. Your results are analysed as a set of interacting systems, not as a checklist of values against a reference range.

Metabolic

Lipids, ApoB, fasting insulin and glucose, HbA1c, read together to give a clearer picture of cardiovascular and metabolic risk than any single marker provides.

Hormonal

Sex hormones, cortisol and thyroid, interpreted in the context of your sex, life stage and reported symptoms, not just population-level reference ranges.

Inflammation & immune

hs-CRP, ferritin and white cell ratios, markers that shift gradually over time and are often missed when results are read in isolation.

Organ & nutrient status

Liver, kidneys, iron, B12, vitamin D and magnesium, the baseline measures that influence how every other system functions.

Your member portal displays each result alongside the other markers in its system, with plain-English context calibrated to your age, sex and life stage.

The base test · Your foundation

One panel. Nine systems. Everything we build from here.

Biolume's base test is a single, comprehensive blood test that reads the systems driving how you age and how you feel. It's the natural first step, and an intelligent panel you can run on repeat, with us or through your preferred provider, so trends rather than one-off results shape your decisions.

01 In the base panel

Cardiovascular

  • Total / LDL / HDL cholesterol
  • Triglycerides
  • Non-HDL & cholesterol ratios
  • ApoB & ApoA1

Why: separates the lipid picture that ages you from the one that doesn't.

02 In the base panel

Heart

  • hsCRP
  • Homocysteine
  • Lp(a) (if indicated)

Why: cardiovascular risk beyond the lipid panel.

03 In the base panel

Hormone & Thyroid

  • TSH, Free T3, Free T4
  • Oestradiol / Testosterone
  • DHEA-S, SHBG

Why: hormones drive energy, mood, body composition and how fast you age.

04 In the base panel

Liver

  • ALT, AST, ALP
  • Bilirubin
  • Albumin / total protein

Why: liver enzymes are an early-warning system for metabolic stress.

05 In the base panel

Kidney

  • Creatinine
  • eGFR
  • Urea & electrolytes

Why: kidney function shifts slowly and silently — trend matters.

06 In the base panel

Inflammation & Immunity

  • hs-CRP
  • Neutrophil / lymphocyte ratio
  • Ferritin

Why: chronic, low-grade inflammation is the quiet driver of long-term risk.

07 In the base panel

Nutrients

  • Vitamin D
  • Vitamin B12 & Folate
  • Magnesium, Zinc

Why: the deficiencies that masquerade as everything else.

08 In the base panel

Adrenal, Stress & Cellular

  • Cortisol
  • DHEA-S
  • hsCRP & oxidative markers

Why: how your body handles load, adapts to stress and recovers.

09 In the base panel

Metabolic

  • Fasting glucose
  • HbA1c
  • Fasting insulin

Why: catches insulin resistance years before glucose drifts.

Advanced add-ons

Go deeper, only where it matters to you.

Advanced biomarkers can be added when you want a deeper read on a specific area — hormones, cardiovascular risk, metabolism, inflammation, nutrients, gut health or genetics.

Already have bloodwork?

Bring your labs. Skip the draw.

If you already get advanced bloods through your GP, specialist, Medicare or a longevity workup — you don't need to start with a Biolume test. Start with membership instead, and let us turn that paperwork into a decoded, tracked, plain-English view of you.

  • Upload

Upload PDFs, photos or a clinic portal link. Medicare, GP, hospital and private lab formats all supported.

  • Organise

Every marker is parsed, dated and sorted by body system, so each new result lands exactly where it belongs.

  • Decode

Plain-English context sits next to every value, referenced against your age, sex and life stage, not just the lab's standard range.

  • Track

Trends matter more than individual results. We flag quiet drifts before they become numbers worth worrying about.

The biomarker map

Search every marker. See what's base, what's add-on.

Every marker we test, organised by body system. Search by name, filter by tier, tap any card to see what it measures, why it matters and how Biolume reads it in context.

BaseCardiovascular

LDL cholesterol

The headline lipid number, but only meaningful read alongside ApoB, triglycerides and HDL.

BaseCardiovascular

ApoB

Counts the actual atherogenic particles. Re-ranks a normal cholesterol panel every time.

BaseCardiovascular

ApoA1

The primary protein in HDL. Read alongside ApoB for the most accurate picture of cardiovascular balance.

BaseHeart

HDL cholesterol

The carry-away lipoprotein. Context for everything else in the lipid panel.

BaseHeart

Triglycerides

A direct read on how your body handles carbohydrates and fats. Elevated triglycerides often move before glucose does.

BaseMetabolic

HbA1c

Three-month average blood sugar. A slow, honest read on metabolic drift.

BaseMetabolic

Fasting glucose

Shows where your blood sugar sits after an overnight fast. Useful in context, not in isolation.

BaseThyroid

TSH

The pituitary signal that drives thyroid output. A useful screen, but always read alongside Free T3 and T4 for the full picture.

BaseThyroid

Free T4

The hormone your thyroid releases — paired with TSH for a first complete read.

BaseInflammation

hs-CRP

High-sensitivity inflammation marker. Quietly predicts cardiovascular risk for decades.

BaseNutrients

Vitamin D (25-OH)

Drives bone, immune and mood signals. Easy to fix, easy to miss.

BaseNutrients

Ferritin

Iron stores. The marker behind the fatigue nobody can explain.

BaseMetabolic

Fasting insulin

Climbs years before glucose drifts. The earliest honest read on insulin resistance.

BaseMetabolic

GGT

A liver enzyme that's quietly one of the best metabolic-health markers we have.

BaseHormones

Oestradiol

The primary oestrogen in both sexes. Relevant to energy, mood, bone density and cardiovascular health, and interpreted relative to your life stage.

BaseHormones

Testosterone (free & total)

Energy, body composition, libido. Read alongside SHBG, not alone.

BaseInflammation

Homocysteine

Elevated homocysteine is an independent risk factor for cardiovascular disease and cognitive decline. Often correctable through B vitamin support.

Add-onHeart

Lp(a)

A genetic risk marker for cardiovascular disease. Measured once, acted on for life.

Add-onNutrients

Omega-3 index

The percentage of EPA + DHA in your red blood cells. Inflammation and brain in one number.

Add-onNutrients

Copper

Drives energy metabolism, iron utilisation and neurological function. Often overlooked.

Add-onNutrients

Zinc

Commonly low, rarely tested. Zinc sits at the centre of immune function, hormone production and cellular repair.

Add-onInflammation

pTau181

A phosphorylated tau protein associated with early neurological change. One of the most promising blood-based markers in medicine right now, driven by mainstream neurology research.

Frequently asked

The questions everyone asks first.

If you can't find your answer here, the team replies inside the portal — usually within a few hours, always in plain English.

Why one base test instead of a "comprehensive" mega-panel?

Because most mega-panels include markers that don't change your decisions — and skip the few that do. The base panel is the smallest set of markers we'd actually act on, across the nine systems that drive how you age and feel. Everything else lives as an add-on, so you can go deeper only where it matters to you.

I already get bloods through my GP / Medicare / specialist. Do I need to test with Biolume?

Not necessarily. If you already have recent, advanced bloodwork in hand, start with membership. Upload what you have and we'll build your decoded view from there. You can always add a Biolume panel later — or just keep uploading whatever your GP runs next.

How are add-ons different from the base test?

Add-ons run from the same draw as the base test — there's no extra needle. They simply unlock additional markers (ApoB, full thyroid, hormones, etc.) for a deeper read on systems you already care about. You can add them at checkout or any time after your foundation is in place.

Will Biolume replace my GP?

No. Biolume is a decoded view of your bloodwork, not a diagnosis or treatment service. Anything that needs medical attention, we'll point you back to your GP or specialist with the right context to make that conversation faster.

How fast do results come back?

Most results land in your portal within 5–7 days of the draw. Uploaded labs are typically parsed and decoded within 24 hours of upload.

What does the membership actually cost?

$19/month after your first base test (or from day one if you start with membership). Cancel anytime — your data and decoded history stay accessible while you're a member.

Ready when you are.

Start with the base test, or skip the draw and start with membership. Either way, you end up in the same place — a single, plain-English read on the systems that actually drive your healthspan.
